As I sat here today spending time with a number of you at the church I began to ponder about how amazing it is that this weekend we celebrated theend of the liturgical year with Christ the King Sunday... this week we celebrate Thanksgiving... and then next weekend we begin the new liturgical year as we begin to anticipate Our Lord Jesus Christ's arrival. Though it is not exciting as the Triduum, Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Vigil, I just find this week so neat.
I pray for each and everyone of you youth and your families this week as you go and travel to spend time with your families and remember what it is you are thankful for. I am so thankful for each and everyone of you and your families and all that you given me during these sixteen months I have been here at St. Thomas Aquinas. God has truly blessed me.
On a side note.... I want to thank all the youth who made it out here to St. Thomas Aquinas this afternoon your hard work in changing out the missals was amazing and to think we got it all done in an hour!!!! (Well if you also count the night we went up to the choir loft and put them in there covers it would be an hour and a half). THANK YOU and I had a great day hanging out with you all but I know I will never understand the game of Risk like you all do!!
God Bless and be safe over this week!!
